Exciting!

These are the adorable boots I found at D.I. I have looked for some every time I have gone there, and I finally found some! The only problem is that they won't fit for a couple years...but they are basically brand new and I only paid $2 for them! YaY! :-)

Almost a crawl...

Parker basically crawling tonight. For 4 1/2 months old he is SUPER strong! I probably shouldn't rush the crawling, but it sure is fun watching him try. This is after he has been doing it a while so he is getting upset, but his arms are starting to get stronger!

I tried to upload a cute video of Parker laughing, but it didn't work. Sooo, I uploaded it to YouTube and this is the link:

Enjoy!

Miracles, Struggles, Life :-)

I am WAY past due for updating the blog, so bear with me while I post about the last couple weeks. Because of Parker's acid reflux he has been sleeping in his car seat at night. I have been wanting to switch him over to his crib, and I finally tried on the 8th. He slept there ALL night long, and only woke up once! Here is a picture of his first night in his crib:

This is a video of what Tyler taught Parker to do on March 9. He had been trying to get Parker to put his own binky in his mouth, and he finally did it. Parker doesn't know what he wants more--his binky or his toes! He is so cute!

Parker had his 4 month checkup on the 11th. He weighed 14 pounds, 4 ounces putting him in the 41st percentile. He was 25 inches long putting him in the 59th percentile. I wont lie I thought he would be at a higher percentage for height. Everyone keeps saying how super tall he is. 59 percent is pretty good though I think ;-) He will probably end up taller than both his parents! He has a couple outfits that make him look SUPER tall (I think so anyways)...this is one of them:
Parker did great with his immunizations. I was so proud of him! He cried for like 2 seconds and then was fine. But just before bed he got a fever of 101.7. We gave him some medicine to help it, but he spit it up a couple minutes later. We didn't want to give him more, so Tyler gave him a blessing instead. Luckily, his fever was down by 2:30 a.m. when he woke up. I am so grateful for the priesthood! It is such a blessing in our home! :-)

Parker got to be in his jumper for the first time on his 4 month birthday! He was so cute! Not quite jumping yet, but he spun a little :-)

IT'S ABOUT TIME!!! Parker's tear duct finally opened up on its own on the 13th. We were so grateful! Finally we could get professional pictures done without him having a bright red eye (We haven't yet). Such a blessing! This happened at the perfect time. Lately it has seemed that everything is going wrong in our life. My 2007 Hyundai Elantra has had problems and we had to replace 3 out of the 4 engine mounts costing us $600. They fixed that and then realized that it was having transmission problems. They took it to a transmission place and they thought that it probably only needed a transmission flush. So I drove it into Idaho Falls to get that done. $160 later they tell me that it didn't help and that the transmission was toast. That was such a hard day! Things like this just kept hitting us, but I love realizing what blessings (or miracles) are also happening at the same time. Parker's tear duct opening was the first of these blessings/miracles. I noticed on the 16th that Parker's reflux was actually better when I didn't give him his pill. YAY! His spitting is starting to finally slow down. Then on the 17th we decided to take a well-needed break and go spend the weekend with Tyler's family. On our way out of town we stopped to pay our $600 bill to the shop. What happened next was truly a miracle for us. The manager asked Tyler if what they did had really fixed anything. Tyler responded that nothing was fixed by putting on the new engine mounts. Amazingly, the manager told him that they had kept our old engine mounts, and if we wanted, they would put the old engine mounts back on and not charge us anything. (WHAT MECHANIC DOES THIS?!?) I wanted to cry when Ty told me this. Wow. Now we can sorta afford a new transmission. Another crazy miracle happened a few weeks ago. I didn't even think of it as a blessing until I was complaining to my mom about all our struggles and she made me realize how great this was. First I need to add a little background. I was probably 10 when my dentist pulled out one of my baby teeth because it wasn't falling out. Just like my older sister, Jessica, my tooth was stuck sideways so it wouldn't come down. Jessica had to have braces to pull it down, but I have just lived with a hole in my smile since then. My friends can tell you how paranoid I was about my smile. I have finally accepted it and don't really care about it anymore. I had a dentist appointment on the 7th and the dentist asked me, "how long has that been poking through?" I had no idea what he was talking about. My tooth is now perfectly up and down, and is now moving down on its own! Hooolly! Miracle! :-) Tyler keeps teasing me that I am teething at the same time as Parker! haha. Anyways, we are so grateful for out trials and especially for our blessings!!

Anyways, enough writing...now on with pictures of Park-man!
An adorable picture of him before his eye healed.

I realized that he loves looking in the mirror now. If he doesn't see the camera, then this is how he reacts. So cute!

And his eye is healed! Yippee!

Parker got his first cold on Saturday and he has handled it like a champ! It hasn't been too bad luckily. No fever--just runny nose and cough. He is basically over it by now.

While we were at Grandma and Grandpa Little's house this past weekend, Grandma taught Parker Patty-Cakes. This is me copying her :-) Parker is all smiles every time you do it with him.

I happen to have 2 nephews named Benjamin. This is a video of Tyler's sisters son, Ben. He is 11 months old here. Don't have your volume on too loud because it is him happy screaming at the beginning. I think this video is so cute! He loves playing with his "friend" in the mirror...haha

Laughing!

I was over at Savvy's babysitting and I got Parker laughing for reals! I had to prop the camera where he couldn't see it, but I love this video :-)
